SDI and TDI Leadership levels offer divers the opportunity
of working in the dive industry, be it leading certified dives,
assisting on courses or teaching students. With facilities
across the Australia, the South Pacific and around the world,
SDI/TDI Leadership programs can lead to an adventure of exotic
locations, new dive sites and many new friendships.
SDI Divemaster
The first step in Leadership Development is by becoming a Divemaster. This will allow you to improve your own diving skills while at the same time learning how to guide certified divers.

TDI Divemaster
The Technical Divemaster is the doorway for guiding divers beyond traditional sport diver experiences. Leading technical divers on wreck and decompression dives allows leadership divers to extend their range even further.

Assistant Instructor
Gaining experience assisting on courses and teaching
their own Specialties allows SDI Assistant Instructors
to develop their teaching skills before undertaking
an Instructor Training Course themselves. |
SDI Instructor
Being able to teach new divers is one of the most rewarding aspects of becoming a Scuba Instructor! The SDI Instructor program will guide you through the skills and techniques you will need as you embark on a new career as a professional Instructor.

Being a TDI Instructor course will build upon both your Technical Diver certifications and your Open Water Instructor experience to give you the ability to train divers at these demanding, yet rewarding, levels.

Instructor Trainer
The highest professional membership level available
in the Dive Industry - SDI/TDI Instructor Trainers are
trainers, counsellors and evaluators. Given the responsibility
of training new Instructors SDI/TDI ITs are representatives
of the ethics and standards that are the strength of
the SDI/TDI membership.
